If you take a closer look at the image of the new 2018 Toyota Prius, you will see a futuristic car with a unique design. Aside from the fact that this line will remain as the hybrid model, you can also expect new changes on the exterior as well as the interior. Will this one be as good as the others? Look at the facts and determine it yourself.
2018 Toyota Prius New Plan
For the2018 model, Toyota has decided that they are going to expand the line to the Prius SUV after they have been lucky with Prius Plug-In, Prius Liftback, Prius v, and Prius c. They are working together with Mazda (who has made the Scion IA 2016, remember?) to develop the SUV line with a good fuel economy system and hybrid model. The good thing about the new 2018 Toyota Prius is the fact that it is different from the Toyota Highlander Hybrid 2015 and Toyota RAV4 Hybrid 2016, by borrowing some cute styling from the Toyota C-HR 2016 as shown during Paris Auto Show 2014.
2018 Toyota Prius Exterior
There are some developments that have been made to the exterior side of the new hybrid – and one of them is to take the cue styling from Nissan Juke (but less awkward, though). For this new line, the SUV will be focused with the current but tall height with a pushed back look for improved aerodynamics. For the front side, the big fenders are looking stylish with the four-door configuration. The aggressive line will retain, including a pinch of the beltline and bold taillights. The crossover is made compact without compromising good design – focusing on the elegance and style.
2018 Toyota Prius Interior
Despite the aggressive and seemingly big exterior design, Toyota will be focusing on the comfort and functionality of their interior cabin too. To improve functionality, the instrument panel of the 2018 Toyota Prius will be designed in a reachable place for better access and functionality. More features are going to be added, and improvement in the usage and functionality will be increased.
2018 Toyota Prius Engine
Rumor has it that it is possible that this SUV will be using the diesel Skyactiv-D 1.5-liter engine from Mazda that is paired with the Toyota’s signature Hybrid Synergy Drive technology. Although there is also another possibility for the diesel hybrid engine for this model, Toyota hasn’t said anything about it. For the new 2018 Toyota Prius, it is possible that the price will be above $27,000 for the base model.
