2018 FIAT 500L Review & Changes – The Fiat 500 successfully resurrected an icon with its adorable appearance and sentimental allure. Instead of piggybacking on that success, the larger and more ambiguously fashioned 500L crossover skipped the mark right here in the U.S. Facelifted for 2018 for Europe, the updated 500L offers a bounty of choices for potential customers in the terminology of trim, color, and powertrain. Fiat also claims 40 % of the 2018 500L’s components are new on top of that.
Three trim levels are available: Urban, Wagon, and Cross. Urban emphasizes city driving whilst Wagon provides a seating agreement for seven individuals. Cross is the most off-road capable with practically an inch of enhanced ground clearance as well as a new fender design and new front and rear skid plates. For Europe, powerplant alternatives are plentiful. The top of the line is a 1.4-liter inline turbocharged four-cylinder making 120 hp. Fiat also provides LPG, methane, and diesel choices. Transmission choices consist of a five- or six-speed manual. Fiat’s Dualogic robotic automatic transmission is available too.
Fiat is increasing straight down on the 500L’s crossover charm in the Cross setup. It offers three driving modes through the 3.5-inch display in the tool group: Typical, Traction, and Gravitational pressure control, which retains speed while driving straight down a slope. Fiat’s City Brake system is provided over the range, offering automatic braking in the event of an upcoming collision. It also features an upgraded rear-parking camera for much better exposure.
A 7-inch touchscreen controls Uconnect HD Reside. The infotainment system is suitable with each Apple Car Play and Android Auto. Uconnect also features Bluetooth connectivity and AUX and USB ports.
